Network recommendation: Use Polygon for significantly lower costs than Ethereum.

Prerequisites

You must have an Auto-Payment account opened before funding. If you haven’t created one yet, open your Auto-Payment account first.

Understanding the Balance Requirements

Your Auto-Payment wallet needs two types of funds:

LINK Balance

Powers Chainlink automation for recurring payments

Gas Fee Balance

Covers blockchain transaction costs
If your LINK balance falls below the minimum, your automated payments will stop executing.

When you first deploy your Auto-Payment account, you’ll notice it already contains LINK tokens. Why? Your smart wallet performs a batch transaction during deployment that:
  1. Deploys the Auto-Payment contract
  2. Funds it with initial LINK
  3. Activates automation

Add Gas Fee Balance

Every request sent to users requires a blockchain transaction. We cover the initial gas cost, but you must reimburse it.
Without sufficient gas fee balance, you cannot send payment requests to users.
