How to Launch a Loyalty Token

This guide will walk you through launching your custom loyalty token on Shakesco. Follow these steps to create and configure your token.

Step 1: Download the Shakesco App

If you haven’t already, download the Shakesco app:

Step 2: Create Your Accounts

Create a Personal Account

  1. Open the Shakesco app
  2. Sign up with your email and create a personal account
  3. Complete the onboarding process

Create a Business Account

  1. Hold down the profile button at the navigation bar
  2. When the pop-up appears, click “Create a business wallet”
  3. Follow the prompts to create your business account
You need both a personal account and a business account. The business account is where you’ll launch and manage your loyalty token.

Step 3: Navigate to Token Launch

  1. Switch to your business account (if not already)
  2. Go to the Transact tab in your business side navigation bar
  3. Click on Token
  4. Select Launch New Token

Step 4: Configure Basic Token Details

You’ll need to enter the following information:

Token Name

The name of your token - what it will be called Example: “Shakesco Rewards”

Token Symbol

The symbol/ticker for your token (3-5 characters) Example: “SKK”

Number of Tokens

The total supply of tokens that will be created. These tokens will be accessible through the API or in the built-in Shakesco marketplace. Example: 21,000,000

Token Price

The price of each token in your currency Example: $10 (meaning 1 SKK = $10)
Click Next to proceed to discount configuration.

Step 5: Set Token Discount

The discount percentage customers receive when they pay at your business using your tokens. How it works: - If your token price is $10 and you set a token discount of 20%, customers get a $2 discount every time they use Shakesco Pay to pay at your business Example: 20% discount means customers save $2 per $10 token when spending at your business
Click Next to configure rewards.

Step 6: Configure Buy and Spend Rewards

Buy Limit and Buy Reward

The amount (in your currency) a customer must spend buying tokens to trigger a bonus reward. Example: $100

Buy Reward

The number of bonus tokens given when the buy limit is reached. How it works: - If you set buy limit to $100 and buy reward to 2 SKK, the customer will receive 2 bonus SKK tokens when they buy $100 worth of SKK tokens Example: 2 SKK
This reward is recurring - customers earn the bonus every time they reach the buy limit, not just once.

Spend Limit and Spend Reward

The number of bonus tokens given when the spend limit is reached. How it works: - If spend limit is $100 and spend reward is 1 SKK, when customers spend up to $100 at your business, they receive 1 bonus SKK token Example: 1 SKK
This reward is also recurring - customers earn the bonus every time they reach the spend limit.

Step 7: Set Token Expiry

The number of months tokens stay active before they expire. To drive business growth, customers should use tokens regularly — tokens that go unused for too long will expire. Example: 12 (tokens expire after 12 months of inactivity)
Setting an expiry period encourages customers to return and spend their tokens, driving repeat visits to your business.

Step 8: Configure P2P Trading

Choose whether customers can trade your tokens with each other on the Shakesco marketplace.

Royalty
percentage
If P2P trading is enabled, set the royalty percentage you earn on every secondary sale. Maximum royalty is 7%. Example: 5% means you earn 5% of every peer-to-peer token sale.
Enabling P2P trading increases token liquidity and visibility. Royalties give you a passive revenue stream every time your tokens change hands.

Step 9: Launch Your Token

Review all your settings and click Launch Token. Your token will be deployed and configured with all the parameters you’ve set.

Step 10: Access Your Token Dashboard

After launching:
  1. Go to the Transact tab in your business side navigation bar
  2. Click on Token
  3. You’ll see your token dashboard with:
    • Total supply and distribution
    • Token holders
    • Transaction history
    • Revenue from token sales
    • Configuration settings

Automatic Marketplace Listing

Your token is automatically launched on the Shakesco marketplace! This means:
  • Users can discover and buy your tokens
  • Businesses can purchase your tokens for their customers
  • Your token is visible to the entire Shakesco ecosystem
No additional steps needed - your token is live and tradeable immediately after launch.

Example Configuration

Here’s an example configuration for a coffee shop loyalty program: 
Token Name: Coffee Club Rewards
Token Symbol: COFFEE
Number of Tokens: 1,000,000
Token Price: $1.00

Token Discount: 10%
(Customers save $0.10 per COFFEE token when paying at the shop)

Buy Limit: $50
Buy Reward: 5 COFFEE
(Buy $50 worth of tokens, get 5 bonus tokens)

Spend Limit: $25
Spend Reward: 2 COFFEE
(Spend $25 at the coffee shop, get 2 bonus tokens)

What Happens Next?

Once your token is launched:
  1. Customers can buy your tokens from the marketplace
  2. Customers earn rewards based on your buy/spend limits
  3. Customers get discounts when paying at your business
  4. You track everything from your token dashboard
  5. You can adjust settings anytime from the dashboard

Managing Your Token

From your token dashboard, you can:
  • View analytics - See token distribution and usage
  • Mint more tokens - Increase supply if needed
  • Adjust rewards - Change buy/spend limits and rewards
  • Update discount - Modify the discount percentage
  • Monitor transactions - Track all token activity
  • Set token image - Add your logo or branding
